On January 24th, 2014, Carmelo Anthony put on a performance that New York Knicks fans will never forget. It was a historic night in Madison Square Garden as Melo dropped 62 points, which is a franchise record as well as a MSG record.
Melo was able to get his buckets in several ways, whether it was in the post, or slashing to the basket, or even spotting up for three. It seemed Anthony could do no wrong and everything he put up, was for sure going to drop. He shot the ball with high efficiency, ending the night with 23 of 35 field goals, 6 of those being beyond the arc on 11 attempts.
The night was purely remarkable and a great moment for Knicks fans, who was quite used to disappointment. Carmelo Anthony was a pure beast and with the talent he possesses, we all know that he can fill it up any given night. Looking to make his comeback this upcoming season from knee surgery, I hope we get to see that same Melo dominate the court this year as well.
