According to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle, Golden State Warriors forward David Lee is expected to sit out Golden State’s season opener against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday due to a strained left hamstring.

Lee sustained the injury during Friday’s preseason finale against the Denver Nuggets, and he has not practiced since. Lee may return when the Warriors host the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.

The Warriors also said that sharpshooting swingman Brandon Rush is questionable for the opener with lower back spasms.
