Welcome to the 2015 NBA Draft. It’s the day every NBA team starts building their teams for the 2015-2016 NBA season and players fall all over the draft board. The Boston Celtics are a team who look ready to make a move, and Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge isn’t afraid to make a deal.

The Celtics are a young team with a fantastic head coach. They made it to the playoffs as the seven seed when they were expected to compete for the #1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The Celtics roster consists of young players who have trade value. This is what Danny Ainge said to ESPN’s Chris Forsberg.

“There’s no such thing as untouchables,” Ainge said Tuesday at the team’s practice facility. “But there’s guys that we really love and are part of our core that we don’t want to move.”

Here are some quotes from Danny Ainge posted by the Boston Celtics Twitter page:

The Celtics own 11 first-round picks in the next four seasons, including four next season.  They also have Marcus Smart, James Young, and Jared Sullinger who are nice young players who will draw interest around the league. With both, the Celtics have the pieces to sweeten any deal.

Since the Celtics don’t have a star player, no one on the roster is “untouchable.” If Trader Dan expects a lot of activity, trades are going to happen. He has made trades in the past landing star players like Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. They lost a lot of young players and draft picks, but they won the 2008 NBA Championship. The Celtics have a history of success, and want to continue the winning tradition in Boston.

Expect the unexpected. Players like DeMarcus Cousins, Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried, Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Jennings have been rumored in trades. If Danny Ainge wants someone, he knows he can get him. Stay tuned.
