The name Zia Cooke started to become viral after her 43-point performance in a December Holiday Shootout tournament. That performance, which took the internet by storm displaying Cooke’s all-around game of gaudy, creative handles and scoring repertoire, earned the attention of people like Chance The Rapper.

The video of Cooke’s performance was also shared by NBA stars like Dwyane Wade and C.J. McCollum, and John Wall even sent her an invitation to work out with him.
Cooke is ranked no. 7 in the class of 2019 by ESPN. She will play for Dawn Staley at South Carolina in the fall. She was selected as a member of the 2019 McDonald’s All-American class, where I spoke with her in Atlanta.
