Kobe and company took advantage of a rare cold night from the Golden State Warriors and pulled off an upset. They won the prime-time game of the day, 112-95. Bryant scored 12 points as he tussled with shoulder pain for most of the night but the young guards of the Lakers stepped up and carried the load. Jordan Clarkson scored 25 points and D’Angelo Russell added on another 21 points as well.

It was a big upset for the Lakers but a bad loss for the Golden State Warriors. With this loss, the Warriors now look at a 55-6 record, which gives them little room for error if they plan on breaking the 96 Bulls’ 72 win record. It was a tough showing for the ‘Splash Brothers’ as they were a combined 13-40 from the field and 1-18 from behind the arc. A cold night for the Warriors led to a young and inspired Lakers team to get a win against the former champs. The team looked motivated and played with a lot of heart and it turned out to be a great day for the Lakers and all Lakers fans across the globe.
