Russell Westbrook assaulting the rim with thunderous dunks has become a routine basketball practice, and the Boston Celtics witnessed the ferocity in which Westbrook attacks the hoop with in their impressive 100-85 road win over the Thunder.
Westbrook cruised around the pick set by teammate Andre Roberson, put Isaiah Thomas on his heels as he would eventually tumble to the floor, and elevated for one of his patented rim-rocking dunks. Beautiful stuff from Russ, who actually struggled mightily for majority of the contest due to the strong defense of Marcus Smart and the other Celtics guards.
Westbrook finished the game with 27 points, five assists and four rebounds, but coughed the ball up four times, and shot 5-20 from the field to net those 27 points. When asked about the defensive job done by Smart, who himself had a game by scoring a career-high 26 points to go along with 8 rebounds, Westbrook dismissed the idea in only a way he could.
Gotta love this guy.
