With the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant not being the spry young star he once was, he’s had to reinvent himself this season. Bryant, in his 19th NBA season, started the season chucking mercilessly, and the Lakers were getting stomped in majority of their games. A rest period and a newly employed minutes restriction has seemingly rejuvenated Bryant, and he was at his best on Thursday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Bryant dished out a career-high 17 assists, setting up his Laker teammates beautifully. Watch Kobe wheel-and-deal below:
As a Lakers fan, this is a perfect blueprint of how Bryant should play for the remainder of the season. Kobe was patient and trusting offensively, and as a result he set a new career-high. Cleveland won the game 109-102.
