It’s no secret that I have an affinity for Washington Wizards point guard John Wall. Ever since his days as a Kentucky Wildcat, I’ve been enthralled with Wall’s ability to push the ball at breakneck speed, finish around the basket with power and athleticism and his ability to get his teammates open shots.
Wall was spectacular in his fifth NBA season, averaging 17.6 points, 10 assists (2nd in the league) and 4.6 rebounds per game. Despite being eliminated by the Atlanta Hawks in a thrilling second series 4-2, Wall still leads all postseason players in assists per game at 11.9. Wall, along with backcourt running mate Bradley Beal and seasoned veteran Paul Pierce, helped the Wizards ascend to heights many didn’t expect them to reach this year. Washington drubbed Toronto in their first round series, and presented the 1st seeded Hawks with a great challenge in their second round series. The future is bright in Washington, and Wall seems to be destined for superstardom.
So to celebrate Wall’s stellar campaign, I decided to compile a highlight video pinpointing some of Wall’s finest moments from this season. Hope you guys enjoy!
