i-1DeMarcus Cousins’ buzzer-beater Sunday night buried the Suns.

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins powered his team to an 85-83 victory over the playoff-hopeful Phoenix Suns, who have had their fair share of heartbreaks at the buzzer this season. The Kings managed to squander a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s contest, but Cousins’ heroics saved them from a fourth straight loss. Check out Boogie’s bouncy buzzer-beater below:

Cousins’ game-winner marks the fourth time this season that the Suns have lost on a buzzer-beater, with other losses coming on clutch shots from players such as Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers. These defeats are extremely devastating for a team that is trying it’s hardest to fend off the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

One would assume that you’d find a jovial Cousins in Sacramento’s locker room after hitting such a big shot, but as reporters came to find out, that was hardly the case. Cousins went on a surprising rant to reporters after propelling his team to the win, and darted quickly out of the locker room after his tirade:

“I ain’t pumped up. I’ve just got a lot on my mind,” he told reporters. “The crazy thing about it is, I’ve just got a question for y’all: How you gonna stop God’s plan? How you gonna do that? How you gonna do that? That’s all I want to know. How you gonna stop God’s plan?

“Man, this city done put me through so much, and I stayed loyal to it the whole time. Hey, I just wanna know how you gonna stop God’s plan? God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. The marathon continues. I’m out.”

It’s obvious that Cousins is irritated with the reports that he is against the Kings hiring George Karl as their next coach, and he let everyone in the locker room know about it. It’s been a strange past few weeks for Cousins and the Kings, and hopefully the hire of Karl, a highly intelligent and respected NBA head coach, can stabilize things in that funky environment.

But for now….. BOOGIE WONDERLAND!
