Victor Oladipo Out Indefinitely With Facial Fracture

Orlando Magic general manager Bob Hennigan announced that guard Victor Oladipo suffered an inadvertent elbow in practice on Thursday causing a facial fracture that is expected to leave him out of action indefinitely. Oladipo will undergo a corrective surgical procedure on Saturday.

Oladipo was sidelined for the preseason with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Now his return will endure a longer delay.

In his rookie campaign with Orlando, Oladipo averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He was named to the 2013-2014 NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Orlando opens the 2014-15 regular season against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.
