Report: DeMar DeRozan (groin) out for at least a month
The Toronto Raptors expect shooting guard DeMar DeRozan to be out for at least a month after he tore a tendon in his groin, according to a source for Yahoo Sports. DeRozan suffered the injury during Friday night’s 106-102 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
There is no official timetable on DeRozan’s return until he is evaluated further next week.
DeRozan is leading the Raptors in scoring at 19.4 points per game along with 4.2 rebounds. Toronto is off to a franchise-best 13-3 record this season, due large in part to the backcourt tandem of DeRozan and Kyle Lowry.
