As one of many sought after big man targets in free agency, Detroit Pistons forward Greg Monroe has made his decision:

Monroe was recently linked to the New York Knicks along with Arron Afflalo, who just agreed to a two-year deal with New York. Milwaukee has been in the mix of free agency as of late and were said to be looking at either Tyson Chandler or Brook Lopez. Monroe adds intriguing value to the upcoming young Bucks roster.
Greg Monroe to Milwaukee makes perfect sense. They have length, quickness to cover his D deficiencies. And he gives them a scoring option

The Milwaukee Bucks have finally been able to fill the hole at center ever since Larry Sanders left. Monroe was not happy with Detroit and felt like he deserved better. Now with this signing, Milwaukee has become a threat in the Eastern Conference. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports also reported the details of the contract.
Greg Monroe will sign a three-year, $50M deal with the Bucks, including the player option on the final year, sources tell Yahoo.

Monroe’s deal will include a player option after the second season in 2016-17, reports Wojnarowski.
Monroe met with 4 teams: Bucks, Knicks, Lakers, Blazers. All offered the max, I’m told. Chose Bucks because they’re the most playoff ready.

Last season Monroe averaged 15.9 points and 10.2 rebounds with the Pistons.
