Matt Barnes has been struggling all season to shoot the ball, holding a field goal percentage of 39.5%. But, it didn’t matter last night for Matt Barnes as he posted a stat-line we have only seen 15 times in NBA History.

Matt Barnes finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists without committing a turnover. There have been only 9 other players to ever have a game like that. (And as mentioned it’s happened 15 total times). The last player to do it was LeBron James in 2009.

It’s odd to see Barnes’s name on that list, with players such as Charles Barkley, Hakeem, Tim Hardaway, Grant Hill, and the aforementioned LeBron on there. But, Barnes has made it known throughout his career that he can have breakout games like this occasionally.

For the sake of Grizzlies fans, let’s hope he can continue putting up solid numbers as the absence of Marc Gasol, and now Mike Conley and Zach Randolph for at least a couple more games, could rain hard on Memphis.
