Dwayne Wade on LeBron With Cavs: “He’ll figure it out”

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2-3 start to the season is less than ideal and far from the ultimate expectations on LeBron James’ new team. There’s been the first alleged argumentative-themed encounter between James and Kyrie Irving and plenty more early skepticism around this new talent crop in Cleveland.

Dwayne Wade experienced a similar growing pains phase with LeBron and Chris Bosh when the three teamed up in South Beach in 2011, and Wade is confident that LeBron will figure out his new situation.

Via Joe Goodman of the Miami Herald:

He has all the tools he needs. We’ve been through it together where we ran into struggles as a team. You’re going to do that in the season whether it’s in the beginning of the season, or sometimes in the middle or sometimes at the end. He’s a four-time MVP. He’s a two-time champion. I’m sure he’ll figure it out as a leader.

Figuring it out is exactly what LeBron seems to be doing. James is the undoubted leader of this Cavaliers team. He has to be the crutch whereas Wade could often be LeBron’s crutch in Miami. LeBron’s “tools” in Cleveland are highly talented and capable, and the challenge to blend and mold the parts together fittingly will endure.

Watching LeBron figure it out throughout the season will be entertaining despite the outcome.
