After a monumental Game 7 performance that carried his Clippers over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, Chris Paul played through a nagging hamstring injury. He had 27 points in the great performance he hit a game winning layup with about a second left. This performance was arguably one of Paul’s career bests, but also most important for playoff legacy.
There will be some question marks going into tonight’s game about the hamstring. How will it hold up with the wear and tear that it will take with the amount of minutes Paul plays on a normal basis? Guard Austin Rivers will need to play a big roll tonight for the Clippers when Paul is resting his hamstring.
The good new through all of this is that it is a strain, but Paul will be a game-time decision:
Doc on CP3: “You have to be careful. If there’s any risk, he won’t play, I can tell you that right now. I just don’t know yet.”

I guess Kevin McHale expects Chris Paul to play. “He may or may not (play). The sun may or may not come up tomorrow, but I’m banking on it.”
