2015-2016 NBA Preseason Rankings: No. 2 San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs know what it takes to put together a winning team. Year in and year out they are always right there in the playoff hunt and have celebrated multiple titles over the past decade. It looks like this season will not be much different.

They signed highly touted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge this offseason and solidified one of the best front courts in the NBA. Tim Duncan is still a solid player for his age and the Spurs are an ageless wonder. But it speaks volumes the type of veteran leadership they have. The veterans make this team who they are.

What can the fans look forward to?

Look for Kawhi Leonard to become some of a point forward this season. With Tony Parker aging and Leonard improving his offense last season, Leonard can become more of a playmaker. We know his defensive game is already there, but look for him to learn more playmaking abilities from the veterans around him.

Projected starting lineup:

PG- Tony Parker

SG- Danny Green

SF- Kawhi Leonard

PF- LaMarcus Aldridge

C- Tim Duncan

Who can emerge as a star?

Keep an eye out for second-year youngster Kyle Anderson to expand his role as well. He had a lackluster rookie season and didn’t really establish a place on the Spurs team. Anderson won the Summer League MVP over some pretty decent rookie talent. Anderson will come off the bench, but bench players have been known to make a name for themselves on past Spurs rosters.

What will be their final record?

58-24
