NBA MVP, Russell Westbrook, James Harden

The hottest topic, with the NBA regular season dwindling down, is the race for the 2017 NBA MVP award. Obviously the two hottest names right now are James Harden and Russell Westbrook, but we also have the likes of LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard who are throwing their names in the hat as well. Honestly, this one is one of the tightest MVP races we’ve seen in a while as well.

James Harden and Russell Westbrook’s cases for MVP are quite obvious. Westbrook is collecting so many triple-doubles that he’s averaging one. Then, you have Harden turn into a point guard and he’s the reason his team is one of the top seeds in the West. It’s kind of heartbreaking for Oklahoma City fans seeing that their own player is battling against their former player, isn’t it?

LeBron James makes his case for MVP every single year. I mean, every. Single. Year. This season is no different. He’s one of the league leaders in minutes played, and the team always has a chance to win the game when he’s playing.

Finally, you have the silent assassin, Kawhi Leonard. The best two-way player in the league has added to his offensive game, and it’s been wonderful. Adding so many moves from so many different players has shown how versatile Leonard can really be.
