Congrats Golden State

Well, another season has ended and a new team has been crowned the champion. Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors and all of their fans on the big championship after a long 40-year wait!

The Finals were one of the most exciting Finals I’ve seen in my lifetime. Yes, even more exciting than watching my Sixers take the 4-1 loss to the Lakers in the 2001 Finals. The action seemed non-stop this year, and we were guaranteed some sort of fireworks from both sides. Steph Curry and the Warriors brought the threes, and LeBron brought the dunks and huge stat lines

It’s really a shame that the Cavs weren’t at full strength for this series, but that shouldn’t take away from what the Warriors were able to accomplish. They accumulated the third most wins ever when you include the regular season and the post season. They were able to make it through three tough Western Conference teams and then take out the best player in the world too. Depending on what they do in the offseason, this team might be able to go for a repeat.

Stop Hating Greatness

I’m not going to lie, I used to be a LeBron hater when he was on the Cavs the first time. Once I grew up and matured though, I really started to appreciate LeBron and his game. This man is the best player on the planet for a reason. He can do it all on the court and lead at the same time. His basketball IQ is through the roof and he makes all of his teammates better.

Everyone tries to shoot him down and compare him to Michael Jordan all the time. If you’re going to compare him to some of the greatest of all-time, you’re not going to appreciate him for him. Let LeBron carve his own legacy. He’s not the same type of player as Jordan, and even though matches up with Magic Johnson a lot, he still has a different style as Magic as well. LeBron is one of the best in this era, so start appreciating it before he’s gone.
