With their backs against the wall in a road elimination Game 6 against the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade took over down the stretch, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Six of Wade’s points in the final frame came from behind the three-point line, as he drilled two triples to help Miami keep a comfortable cushion when the Hornets were attempting to make a run.

Wade’s two three-pointers mark the first time he’s made multiple threes in a playoff game since the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers, and it’s his first make from downtown since December 16, 2015 in Brooklyn.

Wade began to ratchet up the intensity after being provoked by a court-side fan now dubbed as the “Purple Shirt Man.” There was some chirping going on between the two, and Wade seemed to have his mind fixated on extracting revenge in the form of basketball heartbreak for those Charlotte fans in attendance. Way to make it bad for everybody Purple Shirt.

For some reason a part of me believes there’s something wrong with that picture. Give me one second guys…

Much better.

Wade finished the contest with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals, doing whatever he could to power the Heat to a Game 7 on their home floor.

Charlotte and Miami will duke it out for a chance to square off against the winner of the Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors in the second round at 1:00 PM on Sunday on ABC. Wade may need to register another performance such as this one if he hopes to continue playing postseason ball.
