Did Rajon Rondo just complete the pass of the season? It was a combination of, ala, Jason Williams and vintage 2008 Rajon Rondo to create a masterpiece of a pass.
It all starts with Rondo grabbing a great offensive rebound with no Thunder players boxing out or keeping their eye on Rondo. From there, he performs the stellar pass to the wide open Marco Belinelli. It was like poetry in motion before your eyes.
Here’s the video:
Now, this might be the first bit of stellar play you’ve really seen by Rondo. But, in facet, he has already been tearing it up and having one of the better seasons of his career. He is averaging 10.9 assists per game to go along with a career best 36.5% from three point land.
A weird but true stat, Rondo has been shooting a whopping 51.2% from the left side of the court. He has also been very efficient this season with a PER of 17.22. It’s sad that we may not be seeing Rondo in the playoffs this season, but we know he still has a lot of good playing up his sleeve.
So with that being said, here is the new play for Rondo to run. Iso to the left side of the floor…and go to work!
