Going into last night’s game against the Denver Nuggets, Myles Turner’s career high in points was 10. Last night, he put on an absolute clinic.
He showed it all. He rebounded the ball, protected the rim, and his jumper was as smooth as ever. Myles Turner finished 11/13 from the floor to go along with his career high 25 points in what was a magnificent shooting performance.
Turner took full advantage of Ian Mahinmi’s absence last night. While Myles did not get the start, Frank Vogel trusted Turner enough to keep him out there late in the game in crunch time. Turner was one of the only reasons why the Pacers were able to stick in the game late as the Nuggets continued to shoot the lights out.
Myles Turner’s incredible performance might force Vogel to start to give Turner more consistent playing time. We’ll see if that starts to happen as Turner continues to get more acclimated with the Pacers’ system.
