The Philadelphia Sixers lost 89-84 to the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, but Philly gave a valiant effort against arguably the best team in the NBA. Philadelphia, who has been playing surprisingly ok basketball the last few weeks, actually led Golden State through the first quarter and were tied with the Warriors at 46 early in the second quarter before the Dubs went on a 9-0 run to close the half.
However, Sixers rookie K.J. McDaniels, who has become somewhat of a human-highlight reel, definitely gave the fans something to cheer about during the loss. McDaniels, who turned 22-years-old yesterday, celebrated his birthday by throwing himself an alley-oop and sending the crowd into a frenzy. Let’s take a look at the nastiness shall we?
I hope McDaniels got some cake and ice cream after a play like that, because he’s definitely deserving. Might want to add sprinkles too.
