As time expired, J.J. Redick found a between-the-legs pass from Chris Paul and sunk a mid range jumper over C.J. McCollum. It all worked well, from the screen by DeAndre Jordan, to the pass by Paul, to the well contested jump-shot. It was a solid win for the Los Angeles Clippers after coming off a tough loss to the Golden State Warriors. Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford carried the scoring load, both having 25 points each for the night.
It was a good showing for Portland but they couldn’t get stops when they needed them. They had 5 players score in double figures which included Damian Lilliard with 18 and McCollum with 17. This loss counted as Portland’s 8th in the past 12 games making things tight in the Western Conference, as they’re now only one game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz.
