Wednesday evening the Suns and Bledsoe got together to hash out a deal. It looks like the meeting worked out for both parties with the news about the agreement coming out. It looks like Minnesota lost out on a big pick up, especially with all these stories coming out that Rubio might want to leave. The Suns will now have Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas, and Eric Bledsoe all under contract for the upcoming season. The 5-year deal that Bledsoe agreed to does not contain any options, it’s just a straight 5-year contract. The money may not have been all the way up to the max deal Bledsoe was seeking, but he would be crazy to let this deal slide.
Eric Bledsoe averaged 17.7 points and 5.5 assists over the 43 games he played last season. The interesting story now is how will they go about distributing minutes between all three guards.
