The St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team finds themselves in a position far exceeding previous expectations. The Bonnies are 9-5 in the Atlantic 10 and tied for fourth place in the conference. With four games remaining, the Bonnies have a very legitimate chance to earn a double bye in the Atlantic 10 tournament.

This far exceeded expectations because the Bonnies entered 2019 losing four consecutive games. The non-conference schedule ended with a 81-48 thrashing to Syracuse, so confidence was around the program. Behind the leadership of Mark Schmidt and major performances from underclassmen, the Bonnies shocked the conference and look like a sleeper team in March. They enter late February winning four consecutive games.

The road to a four seed begins tonight vs. Duquesne. Duquesne is one of two teams tied with St. Bonaventure with a 9-5 record. The other team is George Mason. The Bonnies season series vs. George Mason ended last week when a victory. That win gave Mark Schmidt the most wins in St. Bonaventure basketball history.

On this weeks episode, Kyle Allan and Alec Walt discussed the home game vs. Duquesne, Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year race and who will finish in the top four in the Atlantic 10.
