Prior to “The Shot” in Utah (98 Finals) the most iconic moment of Michael Jordan’s career had to be the layup in Game 2 of the 1991 Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. Millions of kids thereafter tried pulling this move off, myself included, but none of us could match the sheer wizardry of Jordan. Watching the move at live speed doesn’t really do it it’s justice. You really see the beauty and the degree of difficulty when it’s slowed down. The layup capped off a string of 13 consecutive field goals made by the Bulls, and arguably propelled them to their first Championship. Magic Johnson’s reaction to the layup is also priceless.
