Even thought the season is not over yet with the NBA Finals starting tonight, players who are not playing already have plans for next season, like LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trailblazers.
Amy Schwartz, correspondent for the Trail Blazers and staff writer, tweeted earlier that Aldridge has put his Portland home on the market.
One month before free agency begins…and LaMarcus Aldridge’s Portland home is for sale. Take it for what it’s worth. #Blazers

Free Agency does not begin for another month but it does not look good if you are a Portland Trail Blazers fan. Aldridge has never publicly said anything about his future, so there is still a possibility he returns to Portland.
LaMarcus has definitely been great for the Trail Blazers and is well deserved of a max contract. However, Portland is the only team that can offer him a five year contract. Maybe at this point of his career he is not looking for money but the opportunity to win an NBA championship. This is not to say that the Blazers can be that team but this is a crucial summer for them. Not only is Aldridge a free agent, but center Robin Lopez and sharpshooter Wes Matthews are free agents and Damian Lillard is up for an extension next summer. They also need to upgrade their bench which has been terrible for them, especially in the playoffs.
Other teams that are interested in Aldridge are the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Boston Celtics. Personally, I would love to see him in a New York Knicks uniform and play alongside Carmelo Anthony. Since he is from the Texas area, I could also see him playing for either of the teams in the Texas triangle. This will be avery interesting offseason for both Aldridge, the Blazers, and other teams trying to sign him.
