With another addition to the debate about lower rims in the WNBA, let’s run down the list of who’s in this debate. It all started with Elena Delle Donne and somewhat Geno Auriemma, then Diana Taurasi responded with an interesting comment, and now Candace Parker takes a turn to respond.

Let’s just give Candace Parker the “GOAT” label right now for this response. She doesn’t care one bit, she’s just going to dunk on the competition no matter how high the rim. Also, as you can see from the hashtags, she makes good points and some hilarious ones too.

If we’re going to debate about the height of the rim, then why aren’t we debating the size of the basketball or even how far the three-point line is from the basket? To go along with it, why aren’t we giving the men in the NBA cramps and saying hey go play with mood swings. Ok, maybe that last one isn’t plausible, but I know I’d have trouble playing with that. Anyway, Parker comes in with a great perspective on this debate. She’s basically saying, “Who cares? Let’s just play some basketball and compete.”
