Billy King on if Nets can compete with this core: “We’ll see”
The Brooklyn Nets could be said to just be in an adjustment phase with new head coach Lionel Hollins and a different group than last year’s, but this team still struggles with the basis of a true identity. The Nets’ Big 3 core of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, and Brook Lopez is the most expensive in the league right now.

Individually, this Big 3 is as talented as any in the league, but this core for the Brooklyn Nets has struggled to establish its identity also. There’s still plenty of time for them to figure things out, like they did in the second half of last season, but if it doesn’t hit fruition it might become time for King to consider a new approach.
