Good friend of the Society Justin Dentmon is one of the more decorated basketball players on the planet. He’s won championships across various countries, (USA, Lithuania, and now China) yet the 30 year old PG hasn’t been able to land a steady job in the NBA. Let me tell it, he more than deserves it. Despite that disappointment, Dentmon has carved himself quite a path in Europe and now Asia. his patented JD 1 Leg signature shot is one of the more unstoppable shots in basketball. Once JD gets his jumper going, the rest of his game just opens up. The CBA has quickly become a preferred destination for players with NBA level talent to earn their living. Each team in the league possesses former NBA players, thus the playing level of the league is up to par.
The team at Basketball Society wanted to congratulate Society Favorite Justin Dentmon on yet another championship, this time around leading his Sichuan Blue Whales to their first Chinese Basketball Association Championship in only their 3rd year as a professional club. He scored 40 Points in a game 3 victory, showing off his uncanny ability to put that ball in the hoop. Averages of 25 PPG, 4 Assists and 4 Rebounds illustrate JD’s well-rounded game. Two years ago, Dentmon led Zalgris Kaunas to a championship in Lithuania. Next up should be an interesting summer for the University of Washington product, as Dentmon will surely aim to get himself back into America’s top flight. If his performances in Asia are any indication, there should be more than a few teams knocking at his door for some backcourt help.
