iKobe Bryant was not happy with how the Lakers practiced on Thursday.

According to Arash Markazi of ESPN.com, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant blasted his teammates during practice on Thursday, continuously referring to them as “soft,” due to their poor performance during a scrimmage. Bryant and guard Nick Young traded some competitive banter before Bryant went into a tirade.

Markazi: When practice was opened to the media, Bryant and Nick Young were already trading barbs during the scrimmage with Young telling Bryant, “Nobody in the world can guard me one-on-one,” and Bryant telling Young, “You’re going exactly where I want you to go.”

Later Bryant said, “You m—–f—— are soft like Charmin in this m—–f—–. God damn, is this the type of s— that’s going on in these practices? Now I see why we’ve lost 20 f—ing games. We’re soft like Charmin. We’re soft like s—.”

Bryant, who is currently the NBA’s second leading scorer, not only bashed Young, but point guard Jeremy Lin, who recently lost his job as the teams starter to veteran Ronnie Price.

Bryant was also getting on Jeremy Lin during the scrimmage, daring him to shoot whenever he had the ball, yelling, “This m—–f—– don’t got s—. He ain’t got s— right now. Shoot! Shoot!” After Lin missed a pull-up jumper, Bryant said, “I talked his ass right into that bulls—. I talked his ass right into that bulls—.”

Bryant’s verbal assault continued as practice concluded, and the five-time NBA champion let Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak know he was less than satisfied with the talent level that is currently surrounding him.

After the team gathered together at center court to close practice, Bryant passed Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak and said, “I’m supposed to practice and get better, Mitch. I’m supposed to practice and get better. These m—–f—— ain’t doing s— for me.”

Markazi recorded several Vines of Bryant’s tongue-lashing, but please be aware of the NSFW language that these clips contain.

After practice, Young spoke to the media about Bryant’s tantrum.

“I haven’t seen Kobe practice like that in a while,” Young said. “I’ve been waiting to get back out there since he hurt my thumb and talk some trash. It’s been almost nine weeks since we got the chance to (talk trash) a little bit. It brings out the best in practice when you’re going at it like that.” “You can’t back down from a challenge, no matter who it is,” Young said. “Me and Kobe are always going to talk trash and get into it. When he talks to everybody else, some people tend to shy away and I was telling them you have to have some cojones in this league. It doesn’t matter who it is. Play your game. Don’t get any less confident out there. Talk trash right back to him.”

Bryant, who is 31 points away from passing Michael Jordan for third on the all-time NBA scoring list, is one of the fiercest competitors this league has ever seen. Bryant’s only concern throughout his career has been winning, and if his team doesn’t share that same sentiment, he’ll do whatever it takes to fixate their mind on the ultimate prize.

Charmin, the toilet paper company Kobe referenced during his rant, responded cleverly to Bryant’s statement on Twitter.

The Lakers, who are currently 6-16 and in fifth place in the Pacific Division, take on the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, when Bryant hopes to surpass MJ in scoring.
