It was great to see Dwyane Wade looking bouncy again.
Dwyane Wade looked very spry on Tuesday night, as he scored 26 points, dished out 6 assists and snatched down 2 rebounds in Miami’s 90-85 preseason win over the Houston Rockets. Wade even drilled a jumper with 35.8 seconds left to make it a two-possession contest, as the Heat impressively rallied back from a 13 point deficit to defeat Houston.
It has been great to see Derrick Rose’s and Dwyane Wade’s vivacious play these past few days, and hopefully it’s something that these two can sustain throughout the regular season.
Dwight Howard scored 19 points and pulled down 9 rebounds in 28 minutes of action for the Rockets, and surely excited Houston fans with some monstrous dunks and sharp post moves. Hakeem Olajuwon recently said he thinks Howard is ready for an “MVP-caliber season,” and Tuesday may have fortified that notion. It will be interesting to see if performances like these become a nightly thing from Howard.
