The battle of the rookie guards turned out to be an exciting one. Devin Booker dropped a career-high with 35 points, but it wasn’t enough as Emmanuel Mudiay scored 30 and the Nuggets grabbed the win. Mudiay also had 5 assists to go along with his career night and with the help of his teammates, Nikola Jokic who chipped in 18 points and Will Barton who added another 17 off the bench, they were able to get the job done.

On the other side of the ball, it was all Devin Booker. He came to play tonight, scoring 25 of his 35 in the second half but they just came up short. This performance adds to what has been a tear for Booker in the past few games. The Phoenix rookie just had 32 points against the Knicks on Wednesday night and in his past 30 games, he has scored in double figures in 27 of them. The month of March has been his so far, averaging 25.8 points per game and 4.3 assists. Let’s see if he can continue on this tear as his name starts to creep up on the rookie ladder.
