VIDEO: Celtics show tribute to Rajon Rondo, who gets emotional

Rajon Rondo’s return to Boston after being traded to the Dallas Mavericks just weeks ago was an emotional one. It wasn’t always completely clear whether or not Rondo was looking to stay in Boston for his entire career, but at least right now he has a much more legitimate chance at contending in Dallas.

The tribute video is sensational. It shows the incredible impact Rondo had on the Celtics franchise from his play on the floor to his impact in the community and being part of the 2006 championship effort. From Rondo’s reaction, the city of Boston will always represent something special for him.

Rondo was our player of the night with 26 points on a career high 5 three-pointers along with six rebounds and five assists.
