Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Portland Trail Blazers 115-95 in Game 1 of the two teams’ first round playoff series, and Griffin, who is trying to regain his form after being on the shelf for majority of the regular season thanks to injuries to his quad and hand, put on a show.

Griffin finished the win with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists, including an impressive one-handed jam + the foul over Blazers big man Mason Plumlee.

Griffin bulldozed Portland guard Damian Lillard, who was trying to impede his drive to the basket and launched into the air, posterizing Plumlee in the process.

Griffin did look a step slow at times, but the good outweighed the bad and this game was certainly a step in the right direction. Griffin was ultra aggressive in getting into the painted area as Blazers coach Terry Stotts elected to slot smaller players on Griffin.

Portland will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Wednesday, and they hope plays of this variety are at a minimum. Griffin hopes to continue his ascension back into the top-ten player ranks, after an injury plagued regular season campaign made him somewhat of an afterthought as we gushed over the likes of Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard.
