VIDEO: Avery Bradley crushes Spurs with huge one-handed dunk

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens peppered his team with a glut of guards this summer, and although the fiery Isaiah Thomas may be a fan-favorite, I’ve always had a keen eye on Avery Bradley.

When first entering the NBA, Bradley developed a reputation as a feisty, defensive-minded, undersized two-guard that didn’t have much to offer offensively. Bradley has made tweaks to his game, and although he’s still not the most formidable offensive threat, he’s become more reliable three-point shooter and scorer since his rookie season.

Bradley showed off these new offensive tools in Sunday’s 95-87 loss to the San Antonio Spurs when he cruised past Kawhi Leonard to elevate and throw down a thunderous one-handed jam.

Stevens and the Celtics hope to see more of this from Bradley, who regressed to the mean last season after averaging career-highs in points (14.9 per game), and three-point field goal percentage in a season in which he attempted 2.5 or more a game (39%) in 2013-14.

Hopefully Bradley’s 13-14 campaign wasn’t an outlier but rather a sign of things to come.
