Anthony Davis was spectacular against the Bucks on Monday night.

Pelicans forward Anthony Davis currently has New Orleans fighting for their playoff lives, and on Monday night in Milwaukee he landed a devastating haymaker on the Bucks in a 114-103 road victory.

Davis tied a career-high with 43 points in the win, and also snatched down 10 rebounds and dished out 6 assists in what was a very important game for the Pelicans. By defeating Milwaukee, New Orleans is now just a half game back of the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Western Conference’s eight and final playoff spot.

With his spectacular performance, *Davis joined the likes of LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Dwyane Wade on the list of players to put up a 43-10-6-2 stat line in a single game in the last thirty years. That’s pretty damn good company for a kid that is only 21-years-old.

Since returning from a shoulder injury that kept him out of the NBA All-Star Game, The Brow is averaging 33.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game, giving his most valiant effort to put New Orleans in the postseason for the first time since 2011.

It remains to be see if Davis can help the Pelicans clinch a playoff berth for the first time in his career, but we shouldn’t worry too much. This kid will be dominating the Association for the next decade, and his greatness is just in it’s introductory stage.
