Transformation Tuesday: Jimmy gets buckets

I’m sorry, D-Rose fans, but a changing of the guard is imminent in Chi-Town.

That’s right. I said it. There is a new sheriff in the Windy City, and his name is Jimmy Butler.

The fourth-year guard out of Marquette has upped his numbers from last season in nearly every statistical category, including a +7 PPG improvement. He is also shooting close to 35% from downtown, 46% from the field, and 83% from the charity stripe: all 6% increases from last year. So yeah, Jimmy may not have any lucrative endorsement deals at the moment, but those will surely come if he continues to mature at this rate. Let’s not forget that he is no pipsqueak on defense either:

Butler’s career trajectory is eerily similar to Paul George, who also took the league by storm in his fourth season. The former, however, has a team around him that could potentially punch a ticket to the finals this year – something George has yet to accomplish. The Bulls will be a shoe-in if JB continues to have monster games like these:

Do you think Butler will soon be THE man in Chicago, or will D-Rose be top dog for years to come? Let’s talk about it:
