We are one week into the NBA season with surprises all over the league. Players are shining in new cities and stepping up in new roles. We have seen an offensive explosion from star players like Anthony Davis, James Harden and Russell Westbrook, but there are more low-key players that can boost individual stats on your fantasy team. It’s early, but here is who you need to pick up.

PG: Jeremy Lin, Brooklyn Nets

Linsanity is back in New York City, but in the borough of Brooklyn. Jeremy Lin signed with the Brooklyn Nets this summer because of head coach Kenny Atkinson. Atkinson was an assistant on the New York Knicks when Linsanity started. The three-year, $36 million contract looks like a steal. Lin is averaging 16.3 points, 6.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game over four games. That ranks in the top-18 in all categories for NBA point guards.

SG: Bojan Bogdanovic, Brooklyn Nets

Someone has to score for the Brooklyn Nets, and their scorer is Bojan Bogdanovic. The Yougoslavian swingman averaged 16.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game through the first four games. Two of those games he eclipsed 20 points. Lin and Bogdanovic are turning into the NBA’s most underrated backcourt. Bogdanovic’s numbers should remain consistent because the Nets have no other reliable scorers on the roster.

SF: T.J. Warren, Phoenix Suns

There is more to the Phoenix Suns offense than their dominant three-headed monster in the backcourt. T.J. Warren leads all Suns with 21.3 points per game through four games. All four games he started, which was the same number of games he started all of last season. He is on pace to break all of his own personal records, depending on his shooting percentages. Warren is the best pickup to start the season.

PF: Markieff Morris, Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are lucky to have the old Markieff Morris. He averaged 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over his first two games. He also posted one block and two steals in each of those games. The reason he will keep those numbers consistent is because John Wall is passing him the basketball. He’s also playing alongside his former Phoenix Suns teammate Marcin Gortat. If Markieff isn’t available, his brother Marcus is also off to a great start.

C: Tyson Chandler, Phoenix Suns

Need rebounds? Pick up Tyson Chandler. Chandler averaged 11.3 rebounds per game over the first four games, including an 18 rebound night against the Golden State Warriors. Of all the current top rebounding centers, Chandler is the only player in the top-15 who is available in most fantasy basketball leagues. Center is a deep position, but placing Chandler as a utility is a steal. Expect Chandler to continue this rebounding tear with major improvement in the blocks department throughout the season.
