The Knicks need a lot of help right now. Although the top priority for them is signing Greg Monroe and/or Arron Afflalo but add another player in the mix. According to Sean Deveney of Sporting News, Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley and the New York Knicks have a “major” interest in each other. From Sean Deveney:

Beverley, 26, missed the end of the regular season and the entire playoffs with a broken hand. You could tell from they way the Rockets were playing against the Warriors that they really needed him. He averaged averaged 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals this season.

In the triangle offense, the point guard isn’t the only that is suppose to make plays and that suits Beverley. He is a decent shooter and great perimeter defender. As a Knicks fan, they need all the help they can get but I am a huge fan of Beverley so I hope the team can find a way to grab him. The only thing I am worried about is that since he is a restricted free agent,  Rockets can match it any offer the Knicks give him, resulting in him going back to Houston. Let’s just hope that the price is good enough where the Rockets don’t want to match and the Knicks have money to sign players.
