Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier is not worried about trade rumors and says he’s more focused on the upcoming season.

“It’s only going to get crazier every year,” Rozier told Jared Weiss of The Athletic. “I don’t really try to think about it too much, but it’s more how I watch everybody, how it all works. I’ve been focused on winning and that’s all I’m really worrying about. I’ve been all smiles all summer.”

The Phoenix Suns have been active in attempting to trade for an established point guard and made inquiries on Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, Patrick Beverley, Cory Joseph, Spencer Dinwiddie and Rozier, according to John Gambadoro of ArizonaSports.com.

Rozier was the starting point guard for the Celtics during the 2018 postseason, as Kyrie Irving was out with a knee injury. In 19 games during the Celtics’ postseason run, Rozier averaged 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from three.

The 24-year-old Rozier is entering the final year of his contract and will get a healthy raise next summer from the $3 million he will make in 2018-19. The Celtics have been unwilling to trade Rozier because they want to protect themselves in case Irving leaves in 2019.

Rozier says he’s fine with his role now that Irving is back and only cares about winning.

“I’m happy Kyrie’s back,” Rozier said, via Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe. “It’s going to make it even more fun, more challenging in practice, more stuff-talking. So you’ve got to love it. I’m just as happy as anybody he’s back. I can just learn more & it’s going to be a great season.”
