Katrina Powell’s “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort” will change the landscape of Louisville basketball forever. This book revealed strippers and prostitutes were brought to Louisville during recruit visits by staff member Andre McGee. The book explicitly names recruits who McGee set up.

According to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe, one section of the book states McGee gave basketball tickets to Powell in exchange for two women for,

“a new recruit from Cleveland named Terry.”

All signs lead to “Terry” as Celtics rookie Terry Rozier. Rozier is from Cleveland, and no one else on Louisville has been named Terry since he joined the program in 2013.

Now that Rozier is a member of the Celtics, Louisville is the last thing on his mind. Rozier is currently with the team in Milan preparing for an international game against Olimpia. He claims he doesn’t know of the book, and this is what he had to say in Sunday’s interview with Himmelsbach,

“When it’s time to answer those questions and deal with that, I will. But right now I’m just trying to take in this moment with these guys out here and have a lot of fun with my teammates. So, like I said, when that time comes to answer that, I will.”

Rozier is clearly trying to avoid the situation. He sounded professional, and that is all he is asked to do right now. Remember, Rozier isn’t the only athlete mentioned in the book.

There is much more to solve in the investigation. As of now, McGee has taken an administrative leave of absence at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he was the assistant basketball coach. Rick Pitino still remains the Louisville’s head coach, and this is what he said earlier this week,

“To say I’m disheartened and disappointed would probably be the biggest understatement I’ve made since I’ve been a coach”

For Celtics fans who despise Pitino, this just gives you another reason to despise him. It would be tough to believe Pitino had no idea what was going on. If Pitino had any involvement in this scandal, his coaching career is over.

We have seen Syracuse, North Carolina, and SMU get caught with NCAA violations, but the one in Louisville is the worst of them all.
