Jaylen Adams shined in the NBA Summer League. For a player out of the small school of St. Bonaventure, he proved why he belongs in the NBA with the big boys. Adams played in both the Utah and Las Vegas Summer Leagues. In Utah, Adams got off to a little bit of a slow start as he averaged 7.3 points, 2 rebounds, assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 42% from the floor. Luckily, his teammate, Trae Young, also had a poor first few games, so Adams knew he still had plenty of time in Vegas to get his momentum back.

When he got under the spotlight of everyone in Vegas, his game rose to the occasion. Adams averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals an outing while shooting 42% from the floor.

The most impressive part of his game was his efficient three-point shooting.

Adams went onto shoot 13/32 (41%) from deep in seven games this Summer League. With him signing a two-way contract, Adams now has a real chance to play himself into a contract with the Hawks at some point throughout the season. As Alec and Kyle speak on in the episode below, it may be even tougher with the Hawks trading for Jeremy Lin. Regardless, Adams will have plenty of time to grow and shine in the G-League as we see more NBA talent come from there.
