On Saturday, multiple reports surfaced saying that Ricky Rubio could be out up to 7-8 weeks with a sprained ankle.
Friday night the Timberwolves faced off against the Orlando Magic, and Ricky Rubio suffered a ‘significant’ sprain on a drive to the hoop. The team originally came out and said he was out indefinitely. On Saturday, Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune reported a that Rubio will miss at least two weeks and most likely up to 3-4.
MRI today confirmed Rubio "significant sprain," no fracture, out indefinitely, will likely be at least 2 weeks until they have better idea

This is just me spit-ballin' here, but my best guess is Ricky Rubio is out at least 3-4 weeks with this kind of injury.

Later on Saturday, Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today heard that the injury could sideline Minnesota’s young point guard for an even longer period.
While Timberwolves announced G Ricky Rubio is out indefinitely with a significantly sprained left ankle, I'm told he could miss 7-8 weeks.

This means everyone will be seeing a lot more of Mo Williams in Minnesota, who is definitely capable of leading the team until Rubio comes back. Plus, it means maybe even some more playing time for Zach Lavine.
