Welcome to The Passing Game, where we simply take time to glorify the dimes being thrown all around us.
A few great passing sequences in the NBA last night.
First, you have this ridiculous eyes-in-the-back-of-my-head pass from LeBron James to Kevin Love for a corner three:
LeBron knew he had Love locating in the corner and this just was the fastest method of delivery. The accuracy and timing is the ridiculous part.
Next up are no strangers to the passing game:
We see the Warriors bury teams in this situation a lot, but this one is special because of the incredible skip pass by Steph Curry out of the pick-and-roll. Ramon Sessions is forced to cover two and discourages the initial pass to Draymond Green, but Curry burns him with the overhead to Klay Thompson, who’s spaced in the corner locked and loaded for an open three.
The Bulls know how to pass too:
Just a beautiful no-dribble-needed passing sequence which starts with Pau Gasol pretty much slipping this ball screen and Derrick Rose making a really impressive pocket pass to help lead Gasol past Willie Cauley-Stein. As DeMarcus Cousins has to step up, Pau immediately makes the next interior pass to Taj Gibson (who seals off Marco Belinelli well) for a paint score.
