The Passing Game, Vol. 2: Joakim Noah, Kemba Walker

Welcome to The Passing Game, where we take the time to recognize and glorify the dimes being thrown all around us.

First we have an alley-oop pass from Joakim Noah to Taj Gibson against the Thunder last night. This is where Noah thrives as one of the most skilled passing big men, working high-low looks. Gibson and Noah have great chemistry, but the read was so fluent and the play could only happen because of Noah’s awareness and excellent passing touch.

Next up from last night is Kemba Walker against the Mavericks. After using a ball screen Walker is sized up with an off balance Deron Williams, who he shakes completely with a hesitation, and meets Zaza Pachulia in the lane before zipping a drop-off pass to Al Jefferson for a layup.
