We’re now in another summer of LeBron James.
Free agency awaits LeBron as he is able and expected to opt out of his contract. After being swept by the Golden State Warriors in these NBA Finals, the context of James’ next move will be fascinating and the conversation about what that move might be will be ongoing.
Of course, on Twitter, it’s already started. NBA Twitter got going on some LeBron free agency talk right away on Friday night after the conclusion of the Finals.
Sixers big man Joel Embiid threw his two cents in.

Philadelphia is one of the destinations rumored to have some clout in pitching to LeBron this summer.
Spurs guard Dejounte Murray hopped in as well.

As did Knicks big man Enes Kanter.

The Rockets, Lakers, Celtics, and Warriors are other teams that have been mentioned as either being a possible destination or having a chance to at least meet with LeBron this summer.
LeBron James’ free agency becomes such a sweepstakes event each time not only because of his magnitude as a player but because he’s shown the willingness to make bold moves before. Plus, his decision-making impacts the entire league as far as other free agents and their decisions, how teams handle draft picks, and the general competitive landscape of the league.
In the next month, we’ll start to see who the real adamant recruiters will be for LeBron this summer.
