On Sunday, an NBA legend left us all way too soon as Moses Malone passed away at the age of 60. The three-time NBA MVP and one-time NBA champion is one of the best players to step on an NBA court, as well as one of the best to put on a NBA uniform.

Here at Basketball Society, we recognize what players do on and off the basketball court. Malone did so much for the communities of the cities he played in. On the court, Malone was dominant as they come.

In this game, Moses Malone does what seems less of a rareity in NBA games now, a 38 points 32 rebound performance. In today’s game guys like Kevin Love, Nikola Vucevic and DeAndre Jordan have had similar performances. Before this era, Malone was the last player to do so.

“Fo,Fi,Fo” is the famous Malone term that will live on forever. The saying refers to the 12-1 playoff record the 76ers produced on the way to their 1983 NBA championship lead by Malone. The only other team to have a better playoff run was the 2001 Lakers who went 15-1.

Malone’s legacy will live on forever and may he rest in peace.
