LeBron James Jr. aka “Bronny” has been receiving all of the hype this summer. He led his team the North Coast Blue Chips to a USBA National Championship with some of the most stellar performances of the summer.

Much like his father basketball fans are getting the chance to see Bronny blossom right before our very eyes. We’ve already seen him go from barely grazing the rim to throwing down nasty self alley-oops in the pre-game layup lines. To go along with his father LeBron James Sr., celebrities to attend Bronny’s AAU games have included Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Quavo, so yeah the kid is really must-see.

Bronny right now is 14 years old the same age that his old man started receiving national attention. On the series premiere of Uninterrupted’s The Shop which premieres August 28th on HBO LeBron said that he regrets giving his son Bronny his name because of the expectation he’ll be expected to fulfill.

“I still regret giving my 14-year-old my name because of that”, said James.

“When I was younger obviously I didn’t have a dad so I was like not only am I going to have a son, but he’s going to be a junior and I’m going to do everything that this man didn’t do.”

James went on to say that he knows both of his sons will experience things that he never had to because of who their father is but it’s his responsibility to give them the blueprint and trust that they’ll take the right course.

LeBron signed a 4-year / $154 Million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers while Bronny could be trying to build his own legacy not too far away at high school basketball powerhouse Sierra Canyon who are already loaded with talent. A roster that includes Scotty Pippen Jr., Kenyon Martin Jr. and Cassius Stanley who are all superstars in their own right.

LeBron’s contract with the Lakers is set to expire in the summer of 2022 the same summer that Bronny turns 18 and could be draft eligible. Could Bron and Bronny be the NBA’s first father-son duo? Only time will tell.
