LeBron James on Cavs struggles: “I stink..I’m not doing my job”
It hasn’t been a pretty or ideal start for LeBron James with his new Cleveland crew. The Cavaliers are 5-7 to start the season and their early struggles have come from several areas, but LeBron isn’t happy with his individual play during Cleveland’s four-game losing streak. His quote to the Associated Press on Monday:
We got a four-game losing streak, so I stink. I’m not doing my job. If I start hanging my head low then it’s going to start going to everyone else. They look up to me. They look to me to make a difference and I’ve got to stay positive even through the rough times. As I’ve said before, this is not the darkest point that we’ll see this year. I’ve seen dark and this is very light to me.
LeBron seems to embrace the harsh reality that this team does need time to figure itself out. His talent mates in Cleveland might have more firepower than in Miami, but that notion has made the blending process even more delicate. LeBron’s contention is that it will get worse before it gets better for the Cavaliers.
They can start by getting a win against the Orlando Magic tonight.
